Hi there! I’m Nick Engel, owner and jeweler at Nick Engel & Co. I’m honored that you’re considering us to create the symbol of your enduring love—or simply treating yourself to some bling!
I was born in the San Francisco Bay Area and grew up with an aerosol can in my hand, graduating from graffiti to murals before finally finding my footing in jewelry. After a decade training with the top jewelers in the Bay, I found my calling when my engaged friend hired me to craft a one-of-a-kind wedding band for his wife. Fast forward another decade, forging thousands of rings later, and opening my own workshop in the Castro. It is such a joy to meet couples in our DIY workshops, hear love stories and ideas, and help them create a token of their bond for generations to come.
I’ve been in this industry since 2004 and I know how confusing and stressful the search for precious gems and metals can be. I’m thrilled to lend my experience and expertise to help create your perfect piece of jewelry.
